PetalPlan Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

PetalPlan stores your garden profile and app activity locally on your device. This may include your ZIP code, climate region, bed names and dimensions, planting plans, task completion, crop milestones, harvest records, notes, and photos you choose to add.

PetalPlan does not currently require an account, and this version does not upload your garden records or garden photos to a PetalPlan server.

Location and weather

If you allow location access, PetalPlan uses your current location to request locally relevant garden weather. Weather information may be requested from Apple Weather. When Apple Weather is unavailable, PetalPlan may request a forecast from the United States National Weather Service.

Your device sends the coordinates needed to fulfill the weather request to the selected weather provider. PetalPlan does not retain your precise location as part of your garden profile. You may decline location access and continue using the garden-planning features.

Apple and the National Weather Service handle information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Camera and photo library

If you choose to photograph a crop or select an image from your photo library, PetalPlan requests the applicable system permission and stores the selected photo with the crop timeline on your device. PetalPlan does not upload those photos to a PetalPlan server in this version.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, PetalPlan schedules local garden reminders on your device. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

PetalPlan does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in this version. PetalPlan does not track you across apps or websites and does not sell personal information.

Deleting your data

You can delete all locally stored PetalPlan data from Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete all PetalPlan data. Deleting the app from your device also removes its locally stored data, subject to normal device backup behavior controlled by Apple.

Children

PetalPlan is a general-audience garden planning tool and is not directed to children under 13. PetalPlan does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PetalPlan changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
